FDA statement
These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
Under the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act, dietary supplements do not require pre-market approval. Manufacturing in an FDA-registered facility means the facility is registered and subject to inspection. This is not the same as FDA approval, and no dietary supplement is FDA-approved.
Not medical advice
Everything on this site is educational. It is not medical advice, does not establish a physician-patient relationship, and is not a substitute for consultation with a licensed healthcare professional.
Do not use this site to diagnose a condition, to decide whether to start or stop a medication, or to delay seeking medical care. Breathlessness that comes on suddenly, occurs at rest, or arrives with chest pain, dizziness, blue-tinged lips or one-sided leg swelling is a medical emergency.
Individual results vary
Testimonials and reviews on this site reflect the experiences of individual customers. They are not typical, not average, and not a guarantee that you will experience similar results. Personal reviews are unblinded and cannot separate product effect from expectation.
Drug interactions
Several ingredients have genuine interaction profiles. N-Acetylcysteine has antiplatelet activity relevant to anticoagulants and to planned surgery. CoQ10 can reduce warfarin's effect. Hawthorn can potentiate digoxin and interacts with beta blockers, calcium channel blockers, nitrates and antihypertensives. Magnesium interacts with certain antibiotics, bisphosphonates and diuretics. Consult your physician or pharmacist before use if you take any medication.
Who should not use these products
- Anyone under eighteen.
- Pregnant or nursing women.
- Anyone taking warfarin or other anticoagulants, without medical supervision.
- Anyone taking digoxin, without medical supervision.
- Anyone with significant renal impairment, without medical advice.
- Anyone scheduled for surgery within two weeks.
Evidence limitations
Individual ingredients have research records of varying strength. NAC has the strongest respiratory record. CoQ10 and hawthorn have the strongest cardiovascular records, but that evidence comes largely from patients with established cardiac dysfunction rather than healthy adults. Quercetin has a coherent mechanism limited by poor oral bioavailability. Olive leaf's strongest evidence is antioxidant and vascular rather than respiratory.
The finished combination has not undergone a published randomised controlled trial. The evidence on this site is ingredient-level, not product-level. We state this plainly rather than implying evidence that does not exist.
External links
This site links to external resources including PubMed, NIH, FDA, the American Lung Association and the American Heart Association. We do not control that content and are not responsible for it. Links are provided so readers can verify claims independently, and do not imply endorsement of these products by those organisations.
Earnings disclosure
This is the official website for BreathEaseX. We profit from sales made here. Content on this site is written with that commercial interest in mind, which is why we publish criticisms, state evidence limitations, and rank not smoking, exercise and exposure reduction above supplementation — but you should read everything here knowing we have an interest in you buying.
